Vietnamese Ceremony Custom

Three significant rites take place at a Vietnamese wedding on the same day. Le dam organization, the bride’s engagement ceremony, is the groom’s family’s first formal request for her marriage. The two families change gifts and perform festivals to represent the individuals’ federation

The following ceremony will be a tea and candle ceremony ( le te ). The newlyweds honor their ancestors by drinking tea and asking for riches for their upcoming along during this time. They will also have the opportunity to first-hand encounter extended family members.

A march moves to the couple’s home for a reception after the tea and lamp meeting. The wedding will receive a donation box stuffed with jewelry from her mother-in-law at this formal introduction to her new family. The bride and groom’s parents does lose fragrant pieces in front of their ancient shrines to wish the couple great health, happiness, and fortune.

The bride and groom don old-fashioned Vietnamese attire, known as ao dai, which are available in a range of hues and styles. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen may also use ao dai dresses or a less formal type of the same robes, depending on the child’s preference.
